The key is to form a perfect combination of people, process, and technology. Laying out the process is the foremost thing, and then the focus is on people, followed by technology to bring efficiency.

Keeping the regressively changing world in mind, the business strategies should be up -to date, depending upon the customer and business needs. Therefore, revising the digitalization roadmap time and again is highly recommended.    

Uncertainty of any plan cannot be ignored. Therefore, depending blindly on a plan is not clever. A milestone check is always preferable to ensure reaching the right destination. Factors like change in market or technology can act as a surprise hindrance and one should be ready for any kind of uncertainty.
